1960年代
それは、東西冷戦、ベトナム戦争など重く閉鎖的な空気にあがなおうとした若者たちが、音楽、ファッションなどに自由を求めて新しいカルチャーを生み出した時代です。また、当時は女性に対しての偏見や差別が色濃く残っていて、職場では男性のサポート役、結婚すれば家庭に入って家を守る…など、自分らしく生きたい、挑戦したいと思っていても難しい時代でした。けれども女性の立場が大きく変わり始めたのも、60年代です。60年代には、男性に負けないくらい活躍する女性が、様々な分野で現れ始めました。​そんな60年代を、私たちはまだ幼くて直接感じることはありませんでしたが、中学生から大学生へと成長する中で60年代が大好きになり大きな影響を受けました。
音楽で最初に影響を受けた洋楽＝ビートルズだったり、ファッションならミニスカートの流行を牽引したツィギーだったり…。時代を超えて光り続ける魅力がこの時代には溢れていました。そんな60年代にインスパイアされたファッションを世に送り出そうと、60年代が大好きな仲間たちが集まりました。

It was a time when young people, trying to escape the heavy and closed atmosphere of the Cold War and Vietnam War, sought freedom in music, fashion, etc. and created a new culture. In the 1960s, however, the position of women began to change dramatically, and women who were as active as their male counterparts began to appear in a variety of fields. We were too young to directly experience the 60's, but as we grew up from junior high school to college, we fell in love with the 60's and were greatly influenced by it.In music, the first Western influence was the Beatles, and in fashion, it was Twiggy, who led the mini-skirt trend.... There was an abundance of glamour in this era that transcended time and continues to shine. A group of friends who love the 60's got together to introduce fashion inspired by the 60's to the world.

ジャクリーンへのオマージュ
“60's a gogo”が最初にカタチにしたのが、60年代に人気があった“Ａライン”と“ボックスライン”のワンピースシリーズ「ジャクリーン」です。シリーズネーム「ジャクリーン」の由来は、アメリカ大統領ＪＦケネディ夫人のジャクリーンさんへのオマージュを込めて。
大統領夫人でありながらも自由な空気をまとい、華やかで凛とした清々しさを感じさせてくれた60年代を代表する女性です。私はそんなジャクリーンさんがもの心がついた頃からこの人は素敵だな、こんな風になれると良いな、と憧れ尊敬し大好きでした。
そして、大好きな方の名を付けた洋服だからこそ一着一着に愛情を込めて、生地選びから縫製、出荷にいたるまで、私が満足できるものしか商品として世に出したくないと考えています。

Homage to Jacqueline
“60's a gogo” first took shape with the ‘A-line’ and ‘box line’ dress series ‘Jacqueline’ that were popular in the 60's. The origin of the series name, “Jacqueline,” comes from the American President's phrase “Jacqueline,” which means “a line” in Japanese. The series name “Jacqueline” comes from the homage to Mrs. Jacqueline, the wife of U.S. President JF Kennedy.Although she was the wife of the President, she was a representative woman of the 1960s who exuded an air of freedom, glamour, and dignified freshness. Ever since I can remember, I have admired and loved Jacqueline, thinking how wonderful she was and wishing I could be like her. I put a lot of love and care into each piece of clothing named after my favorite person, from fabric selection to sewing and shipping, and I only want to release products that I am satisfied with.I also believe that the fact that you have chosen “Jacqueline” from among many other clothing items is a relationship that I want to cherish with the feeling of a once-in-a-lifetime encounter!
